Kansas University junior Nickesha Anderson was named Co-Big 12 female athlete of the week on Tuesday for her record-setting performances last weekend at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
Anderson won the 200 meters in 22.94, the No. 1 time in the world this year. She also tied her own school record in the 60 (7.28).
She shares the award with Texas freshman Bianca Knight, who ran the fastest 60 dash in UT freshman history at the Tyson Invitational. Knight finished second to Anderson in the 200.
