6-1 in bowls realistic prediction for Big 12

It’s about time the Big 12 gets over the hump of mediocrity in bowl games. It’s amazing to think that 5-3 is the best the conference has ever fared in bowl games. This year presents favorable matchups, particularly in proving that the Big 12 is the best conference in the nation.

Two matchups against the SEC, three against the Big Ten, one against the Pac-10 and one against the ACC. All absolutely winnable — 7-0 would be awesome for the league, but it’s unlikely.

I’ll take Oklahoma, 49-31, against Florida; Texas, 48-24, over Ohio State; Texas Tech, 35-20, vs. Ole Miss; Oklahoma State, 51-40, over Oregon; Missouri, 40-20, over Northwestern; Clemson, 24-21, over Nebraska; and Kansas, 49-20, over Minnesota; 6-1 wouldn’t be bad.
