Kansas Athletics Inc. officials are warning about an attempted scam in Kansas City, Mo., in which young men claiming to be Kansas University baseball players are going door-to-door soliciting donations to fund a team trip to Hawaii.
Associate athletic director Jim Marchiony issued a release stressing KU student-athletes do not engage in such fundraising activities on behalf of any KU sport.
