Baylor stomps Kansas

? Baylor outmuscled Kansas University’s baseball team, 17-7, despite a pair of home runs from KU senior Erik Morrison.

The Bears scored 11 runs in the first three innings and coasted the rest of the way.

Right fielder Aaron Miller hit a two-run homer in the first inning, and the Bears sent 10 men to the plate and scored six runs as part of a six-run second inning.

During KU’s conference season this year, the Jayhawks have allowed first-inning runs in six of their nine games.

Kansas fell to 19-16 and 1-8 in conference play. It will play host to Northern Colorado at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hoglund Ballpark.
