A chair everyone going to the back room must see.

Our shrine is in our office rather than our home. The first attachment is the first thing everyone sees when they enter the office. The pen and ink drawing in the blue frame is a photograph of the original Jayhawk drawing by Hank Malloy. The inscription is to Allan’s Grandfather. The original is in the Kansas State Historical Museum.

The second attachment indicates what is available if we get more space. The third one is a chair everyone going to the back room must see. There are also Jayhawks scattered around the office, our home, and our yard. The entire top shelf of our closet is nothing but Jayhawk memorabilia, some dating back over 40 years.

As a note of Interest, Allan is an adoption attorney. Since KU made the Final Four, he has heard from adopting couples who are now Jayhawk fans from Chicago, New York City, Atlanta, Pennsylvania, etc. who are now having “Watch Parties” for the Final Four. Being in our office was the beginning of their enlightenment. We heard from many of the same couples during the Orange Bowl.
