New Orleans ? Former Kansas University basketball player Eric Chenowith has been cut by the New Orleans Hornets. The 7-footer from Orange, Calif., signed as a free agent on Oct. 1, prior to the start of training camp. Chenowith, who spent last season in the Puerto Rican League, did not appear in a preseason game and had been sidelined by a heel injury for most of training camp.
