Kansas University assistant men’s basketball coach Tim Jankovich has accepted the head coaching job at Illinois State, and is expected to be introduced at a news conference Tuesday in Normal, Ill.
“What a great opportunity,” KU coach Bill Self said. “I couldn’t be happier for him. It’s a great fit.”
Jankovich will stay with the Jayhawks the rest of the season.
The Redbirds went 15-16 this season, finishing seventh in the Missouri Valley Conference with a league mark of 6-12.
