KU track headed to Big 12 Championships

? Kansas University’s men’s and women’s track teams will compete at the Big 12 Championships today through Sunday at Baylor University’s track.

KU’s men placed fourth and the women sixth a year ago. Sheldon Battle is the defending champ in the discus and hammer. The Jayhawk men are ranked No. 20 in the country. Battle is ranked second in the shot put nationally and 12th in the discus while Egor Agafonov is third in the hammer.
