Kansas hammers UMKC

? Kansas University collected 25 hits – including seven home runs – in a doubleheader sweep Tuesday of Missouri-Kansas City.

KU (17-16) beat the Roos, 8-0, in the first game and 19-0 in five innings at Adair Park.

Serena Settlemier led the Jayhawks on the day with three home runs – and eight RBIs – to bring her season total to a school-record 15 and her career mark to 37.

KU will play host to Creighton on Thursday. First pitch is 2 p.m. at Arrocha Ballpark.
