Kansas University’s three NBA draft prospects – Wayne Simien, Aaron Miles and Keith Langford – all have been invited to attend the NBA predraft camp June 7-10 in Chicago.
The draft camp, for elite players who are considered possible draft picks, is much more prestigious than the camp at Portsmouth, Va., in which Miles participated in April.
Langford and Miles, who likely would be second-round picks in the 2005 draft, will participate in games at the camp in an attempt to improve their draft status.
Simien, who is projected as a middle-to-late-first-round pick, might not participate in the games. Players assured first-round status generally do not participate because they could hurt their draft stock if they have a bad week.
Regardless, Simien will attend the camp to get measured and weighed and take psychological tests.
The NBA will release its list of 65 players to compete in draft camp games in the upcoming days.
