Kansas University senior left-handed pitcher Jacob Jean has signed a free-agent contract with the Chicago White Sox.
Jean, a native of Antelope, Calif., made eight appearances for the Jayhawks in the spring and compiled an 0-0 record with a 2.57 earned-run average.
Jean has been assigned to a rookie team in Bristol, Va.
