College Station, Texas ? Laura Lavoie, Brooklyn Hann and Benson Chesang will represent Kansas University at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Lavoie placed fourth in the 1,500-meter run in 4:29.44 at the Midwest Regional Championships on Saturday to qualify for the NCAAs, and Hann was fourth in the triple jump in 42-feet, 8-inches.
Friday, Chesang advanced with a second-place showing in the 5,000 in 14:17.04.
“I think that Brooklyn and Laura did an excellent job today,” KU coach Stanley Redwine said. “We had a lot of people turn in personal-best performances, and it shows that we are always improving.”
