The Kansas Board of Regents has approved the naming of Kansas University’s new softball stadium.
Arrocha Ballpark is named for Demostenes Arrocha, the father of KU benefactor Cheryl Womack. Womack, of Mission Hills, pledged $2 million to help build the stadium.
“The new stadium will help our efforts to continue to recruit top-level student-athletes into the program,” KU softball coach Tracy Bunge said.
