Columbia, Mo. ? Kansas University’s women’s tennis team defeated Missouri for the 20th consecutive time, winning 5-2 on Wednesday afternoon.
Cheryl Mallaiah, playing at No. 1 singles for the first time this season, led Kansas (7-5, 2-2) with a 7-5, 6-7 (6-8), 6-2 victory over Urska Juric. Younger sister, Lisa Mallaiah, also won at No. 3 singles, knocking off Missouri’s Caitlin Thompson, 7-6 (7-4), 6-0.
Kansas, which upped its record to 23-2 all-time against MU, will travel to Oklahoma on Saturday before visiting Oklahoma State on Sunday.
