Kansas leads the all-time series 3-0. In the last meeting, the Jayhawks beat the Bears, 82-73, on Dec. 30, 1988, also at Kemper Arena.

The Jayhawks are 50-12 all-time versus the Missouri Valley Conference and 226-105 all-time versus schools from the state of Missouri.

Southwest Missouri State has an enrollment of 19,963. The Springfield, Mo., school is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.

Former KU phenom Danny Manning scored a career-high 42 points in the Jayhawks’ 67-63 victory over SW Missouri State in a third-round 1987 NCAA tournament game in Atlanta. The Bears were led by Winston Garland’s 26 points.

Bears strength and conditioning director Rick Perry was previously on KU’s strength and conditioning staff.
