SACRAMENTO, CALIF. ? The Sacramento Kings Tuesday re-signed free agent forward-center Scot Pollard to a multiyear contract and inked free agent guard Bobby Jackson to a multiyear pact. Per club policy, financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
Former Kansas standout Pollard, 25, was instrumental in the Kings’ success the past two seasons, averaging 5.4 points (.529 FG percentage, .714 FT), 5.3 rebounds and 17.3 minutes in 92 regular season games.
The 6-11 Pollard averaged 5.4 points (.527 FG, .717 FT), 5.3 rebounds, and 17.6 minutes per game in 76 appearances (five starts) last season. “Scot has proven to be a valuable asset in this league. He is a strong rebounder and has a defensive presence. At only 25 years of age, he is one of the better young big men in the NBA, and we feel he is going to continue to improve in all facets of his game,” said Kings coach Rick Adelman.
