Sweat pours from the face of Kansas defensive tackle Daniel Wise as he prepares for a squat at the Anderson Family Football Complex on Thursday, June 29, 2017.

**1 – Daniel Wise:** Had a hand in KU limiting Justice Hill to 58 rushing yards on 16 carries. Made three tackles behind the line, forced a fumble had seven solo tackles and one assist. Generally showed why he was team’s best player in 2017.

**2 – Steven Sims:** Caught nine passes for 69 yards and a touchdown and returned a punt 35 yards.

**3 – Joe Dineen:** Two tackles for loss, nine total and seven solo tackles for the Big 12’s leader in TFLs, tackles and solo tackles.

**4 – Evan Fairs:** Terrific catch in the right-front corner of the end zone for KU’s first touchdown. Finished with two catches for 44 yards.

**5 – Peyton Bender:** He throws a nice enough ball that he would be a good fit for a school that has the advantage in the trenches. Facing plenty of duress, he completed 17 of 32 for 172 yards and two touchdowns and one interception.

**6 – Gabriel Rui:** Career-high 50-yard field goal. His personal record had been 43 yards, achieved twice this season. Never let it be said Kansas did not improve in any area in 2017. Rui upgraded the field-goal kicking with a strong season.

**7 – Mesa Ribordy:** Team’s best offensive lineman all season.

**8 – Taylor Martin:** Grinded his way to 60 yards on 17 carries, an average of 3.5 yards.

**9 – Ryan Schadler:** Caught two passes for 31 yards and averaged 22 yards on six kick returns.

**10 – Hasan Defense:** Flagged for back-to-back interference penalties in end zone and was beaten by James Washington for touchdown, but showed a lot of aggressiveness in battling the conference’s top receiver and made him earn his 106 yards on eight catches. Made one great play to deny Washington a catch in the end zone.
