After a flurry of commitments in January and February propelled the Kansas football team’s 2026 recruiting class to one of the top rankings in the country, the KU staff has continued to add to its group.
Kaden Moody, a three-star offensive tackle from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, announced his commitment on Saturday evening to join the Jayhawks next season.
Moody had received his scholarship offer from KU just a week earlier, on March 29, when he visited Lawrence. He ultimately picked the Jayhawks over Baylor, Memphis, Purdue, Texas Tech, Utah and others.
“It is a relief, and I couldn’t be more thankful for every team who recruited me,” he told Jon Kirby of JayhawkSlant.com. “It means the world to me, but I found my home.”
Standing 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds, Moody becomes the third tackle in the class, after Malachi Mills of Westfield, Indiana, and Kaden Snyder of Salina, who is one of the 2026 group’s numerous in-state prospects.
Overall, KU now has 14 players committed for 2026 before it has even wrapped up spring practice, a fast pace that will likely diminish the overall significance and volume of its summer official-visit weekends, at least compared to recent years.
In general, the Jayhawks are stockpiling young players along the offensive line. They acquired three more, DeAndre Harper (Northwest Missouri State), Tyler Mercer (North Texas) and Jack Tanner (Tulsa), in the winter transfer portal, and the roster also features recent additions like David Abajian, Kene Anene, Greydon Grimes and Carter Lavrusky. Also arriving in the fall is 2025 recruit Anderson Kopp.
