After to back-to-back rounds Friday, the Kansas men’s golf team made a push in the second round and sits in 10th place on the team leaderboard heading into the final round at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate at UNM Championship Course.
To follow up a tough first round, the Jayhawks shot 1-under par 287 in the second round. Overall, the Jayhawks shot an 8-over par 584.
Redshirt sophomore Jeff Doty and senior Andy Spencer led the way for Kansas. Both shot 1-over par 145 on the day and are tied for 26th place on the individual leaderboard. Doty knocked in an eagle on hole one and Spencer put together three straight birdies to help their scores.
The final round of the tournament will begin at 8:45 a.m. Saturday.
