KU baseball drops series opener against Cincinnati, 4-3

The Kansas baseball team had the potential tying run thrown out at the plate in the ninth inning of a 4-3 loss to Cincinnati on Friday at Marge Schott Stadium.

James Cosentino and Jaxx Groshans paced the Jayhawks with two hits apiece. Devin Foyle hit his eighth long ball of the season.

Kansas (19-22, 3-11) will meet Cincinnati for Game 2 at 5 tonight.
