Austin Richardson completed a double-double and the Kansas women’s basketball team rolled past Iona, 72-58, on Wednesday at Hynes Athletics Center.
Micaela Wilson, who scored 13 points, helped start a 12-4 run in the fourth quarter to help the Jayhawks (9-2) pull away. Winless Iona (0-11) led by one point midway through the third quarter with its own 14-0 spurt.
Richardson, a junior guard from Johnson County Community College, had 18 points on 8 of 14 shooting with 10 rebounds.
Kansas will begin Big 12 play at Iowa State on Dec. 28.
