After clinching three event victories in Saturday’s quad dual, freshman Haley Bishop was named CollegeSwimming.com’s Big 12 Swimmer of the Week Tuesday. This is the second time during the 2015-16 season that Bishop has been recognized as the conference’s top performer, the other came on Nov. 2.
The Apex, North Carolina, native has been a consistent contributor to the Jayhawks’ swimming and diving program from the very beginning. Throughout her rookie campaign, Bishop has claimed 19 victories, 12 as an individual.
