Stigler advances at U.S. Track & Field Championships

Eugene, Ore. — Kansas senior Michael Stigler advanced to the 400-meter hurdle final at the USA Track & Field Championships Friday night inside Hayward Field. The reigning NCAA Champion will try to nab a top-three finish in tomorrow’s final and a spot on Team USA that will travel to the World Championships in Beijing, Aug. 22-30.

Staff reporter apparently wasn't able to do any research in order to determine that Stigler had the fastest qualifying time in the first round and third in the semis.

Unfortunately, he didn't finish as well today, and would have needed a PR to qualify for the US national team:
