Kansas University freshman catcher Harli Ridling was named the Big 12 Conference Softball Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Ridling batted .480 and had 12 hits, including six for extra bases, during five wins and two losses for the Jayhawks last week. She led the team with four home runs, two doubles and 11 RBIs. Her career-high four RBIs were instrumental in a 7-5 victory against No. 8 Kentucky on Sunday.

The Big 12 honor is the third in as many weeks for Kansas.

The Jayhawks (24-10) take on Wichita State at 6 p.m. today in Wichita.
