Jumpers lead KU at Texas Relays

? Christen Guenther and Natalia Barnovskaya leaped to school-record marks in the pole vault and five Kansas University track and field athletes earned event titles, Friday at the Texas Relays.

Guenther placed second, and Barnovskaya, third, in their first outdoor competition with the KU women’s team.

Andrea Geubelle (triple jump), Francine Simpson (long jump), Syndey Conley (B-section long jump), Jonathan Fuller (B-section men’s high jump) and Michael Stigler (men’s 400 hurdles) won events on Friday. The Jayhawks wrap up competition today.
