KU swimming in 5th at league

? The 800-yard freestyle relay team gave Kansas University’s swimming and diving team 30 points on the first day of the Big 12 Championships on Wednesday night at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center.

After the Jayhawks top 200-yard medley relay team was disqualified in the first event of the evening, the 800-yard freestyle relay team (Haley Molden, Morgan Sharp, Brooke Brull and Deanna Marks) picked up a fourth-place finish (7:20.10).

KU is in fifth place behind Texas (80 points), West Virginia (68), TCU (62) and Iowa State (60).
