Alison Lusk placed 31st in the 200-meter breaststroke to pace three Kansas University swimmers competing Wednesday in the U.S. Open at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif.
Lusk finished in 2:37.28. KU teammate Bryce Hinde was 50th in 2:39.98.
Kansas’ Morgan Sharp was 65th in the 400 free in 4:26.44.
In Barcelona, Kansas newcomer Yulduz Kuchkarova placed 37th in the 50 back in 29.84 in the FINA World Championships.
