Frankamp, U.S. U17 team defeat Czech Republic

Kaunas, Lithuania — Conner Frankamp, a Class of 2013 Kansas University basketball commitment out of Wichita North, contributed 11 points, three assists and four steals to the under-17 United States men’s national team in a 95-57 win over Czech Republic at the FIBA U17 World Championships Saturday.

During a pivotal 16-4 run by the United States in the first quarter, Frankamp scored four points. In the second quarter, the lead extended to 20, 41-21, following a Frankamp three-pointer. Frankamp was 5 of 7 from the field and 1 of 1 from three-point range.

The U.S. (2-0) faces Egypt today and France on Tuesday before closing preliminary play against China on Wednesday. The U.S. is the defending champion at the U17 Worlds, which run through July 8.
