Kansas University track athlete Diamond Dixon was named the Female Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week after her first-place performance in the Jayhawk Classic 400-meter on Friday.
Dixon’s time of 53.75 broke the Anschutz Pavilion record, and is the top time by a college athlete this season.
The Jayhawks will travel to New York City on Friday to take part in the two-day New Balance Collegiate Invitational.
