Homer and Janet Drew, the parents of Baylor coach Scott Drew, have both been diagnosed with cancer, the Northwest Indiana Times reported Tuesday. Homer Drew, former head coach at Valparaiso, confirmed the diagnosis but declined to elaborate on the types of cancer or when the diagnosis occurred.
“Janet and I would like to thank everyone for their well-wishes and prayers,” Homer Drew said. “We are very appreciative of the support from our family and friends, as well as the Valparaiso community.”
