Big 12 Conference officials named Kansas University cross country runners Devin Wiegers and Brendan Soucie as Big 12 Runners of the Week Tuesday.
Wiegers, the second KU women’s runner to earn the award this season, ran a career-best 19:29 and finished second at the Haskell Invitational 5K Saturday.
Soucie, a freshman, was the first KU men’s runner to win the award since 2008 after he finished fourth at Haskell.
