KU soccer falls in double overtime

? A late goal in the 102nd minute doomed the Kansas University soccer team to a 1-0 double overtime setback on Friday against Cal-State Northridge at the UNLV Rebel Classic.

Northridge improved to 3-3, while the Jayhawks fell to 2-3.

Emily Cressy led all players with four shots, two on goal, while Whitney Berry tallied three with one on target.

KU goalkeeper Kat Liebetrau had six saves.

Northridge’s Farryn Townley scored the game-winning goal on a header from three yards out.

Kansas will continue play in the Rebel Classic on Sunday against Oregon.
