Ramirez hits 2 homers to lead KU softball team

? For the second-straight game, senior Sara Ramirez hit a game-winning home run for the Kansas University softball team. The infielder hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie and lift the Jayhawks to a 3-1 victory against East Carolina on Saturday in the Lipton Invitational.

The win was KU’s second of the day after defeating Campbell, 2-1. Ramirez hit a home run in the fifth inning of that victory.

The Jayhawks improved to 4-5.

Kansas will finish the tournament with a game at 10 a.m. today against Marshall.
