KU freshman shines in Norwegian meet

Kansas University freshman swimmer Monica Johannessen won two more medals on Sunday’s final day of the Junior Norwegian Championships.

Johannessen placed second in the 100 freestyle with a personal-best time of 54.80 seconds. She also helped the 200 freestyle relay team win and set a Norwegian Junior record-time of 1:44.86.

Johannessen won 10 medals in 10 events at the meet.
