KU swimming receives academic recognition

Kansas University swimming and diving was named an Academic All-American team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America for the 2008 fall semester. The Jayhawks earned a combined 3.33 grade-point average.

In the Big 12, only Nebraska finished with a higher GPA (3.37). KU was also named an Academic All-American team for both semesters last year.

Kansas had eight swimmers with a 4.0 GPA in the fall: seniors Jessica Brozek, Anne Liggett, Hannah McMacken and sophomores Amanda Maez, Alyssa Potter and Brittany Potter.
