Lauren Bonds highlighted the Kansas University track and field team performances Friday at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, placing sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:12.00. Only a handful of Jayhawks competed Friday at Drake and also at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
At the Penn Relays, Nickesha Anderson just missed a spot in the finals of the women’s 100 meters, posting a time of 11.72 to finish with the 10th-best time of all the heats.
