Fresh from a two-game weekend sweep of Texas, Kansas University’s softball team has home doubleheaders scheduled today and Wednesday.
Kansas will meet UMKC today and Arkansas on Wednesday. Both twinbills are scheduled for 2 p.m. at Jayhawk Field.
Four Jayhawks are batting over .300, led by right fielder Erin Garvey’s .396 average. Third baseman Megan Urquhart is batting .353, first baseman Leah Hansen .311 and second baseman Amy Hulse .303.
Catcher Leah Tabb has a .244 batting average, but leads the 14-15 Jayhawks in doubles (10), home runs (4) and RBIs (20).
Left fielder Shelly Musser, a two-time All-Big 12 selection, still is struggling with a .264 average, but leads the team in stolen bases with 12.
KU, 2-2 in the Big 12, will resume conference play this weekend at Texas A&M.
