Nebraska tops KU in swimming duals

? Kansas dropped a pair of decisions to Nebraska in swimming and diving Friday night. KU women’s team was edged by the Huskers, 125-118, and the KU men lost, 161-76.

KU divers Rebecca McFall and Kristi Misejka finished 1-2 on both the one-meter and three-meter boards. McFall scored 239.54 on the one-meter and 257.40 on the three-meter.

Gwen Haley claimed victories in the women’s 400 individual medley (4:25.04) and the 500 freestyle (5:02.47).

Brian Soria won the men’s 1,000 freestyle in 9:26.34, and Dustin Chalfant placed second in the men’s 200 breaststroke in 2:07.17.

The KU women fell to 3-4 in dual meets, and the KU men dropped to 0-5.

The Jayhawks will play host to Iowa State next Saturday.
