KU golf tumbles in South Carolina

? Kansas University’s women’s golf team fired a 313 on Saturday, dropping to 16th place after two rounds of the Unlimited Potential/Bay Tree Classic at the par-72 Silver Course.

The Jayhawks, who had carded a 303 after the first 18 holes, were led by senior Ashely Bishop’s 78, good for a tie for 33rd at 155.

“Our team is staying optimistic,” KU coach Nicole Hollingsworth said. “The tournament isn’t over yet, and we have one more day to pick it up.”
