Kansas junior guard Marcus Garrett may not be known for his 3-point touch. But when the No. 3 Jayhawks made their preseason debut against Fort Hays State at Allen Fieldhouse, Garrett led the team in distance shooting.
Garrett, who scored 15 points in KU’s 86-56 win, said following a 4-for-7 night from long range that much of his offseason work, which included plenty of pickup games, helped him improve as a shooter.
“The biggest thing is just confidence,” Garrett said.
