Lightfoot discusses his philosophy on taking charges, much more

When Mitch Lightfoot defends in the paint he’s capable of both blocking shots and taking charges.

The junior forward said after a Kansas win at Oklahoma State that drawing an offensive foul can be even more effective.

“That takes the whole possession and gives you the possession,” Lightfoot said of one advantage of a charge drawn over a blocked shot. “No opportunity for them to get the ball back. If you block it they have an opportunity to get it back, so I think that changes momentum and also it assesses a foul, too.”
