**1 – Wayne Selden Jr.**: Bounced back from an 0-for-10 shooting day against Michigan State to lead team with 21 points. Made long two-point jumpers and drove hard to the hoop, hitting 9 of 15 shots and 2 of 5 three-pointers.
**2 – Cliff Alexander**: Never shies from putting himself in the middle of the action, where elbows are exchanged and backs are shoved. In 19 minutes, he totaled 12 points and 10 rebounds and made all eight of his free-throw attempts. “I work on it in practice every day,” he said of improving at the line. He’s a worker, eager to improve and equipped to do so.
**3 – Devonté Graham:** Had nine points, three assists and three steals in 13 second-half minutes. Made 9 of 10 free throws. Kansas was at its best when it played its two small guards together for nine second-half minutes. They pressured Florida’s guards, taking the Gators out of their offense.
**4 – Frank Mason III:** Like almost the rest of the team, had much better second half than first. His fast coast-to-coast drive at the end of the half gave KU a jolt heading into the locker room in advance of an earthquake undoubtedly delivered by the coach. Mason defended better in the second half, did a better job of getting to the paint and had one beauty of a reverse layup.
**5 – Perry Ellis:** The halftime deficit could have been a lot worse if not for Ellis. He finished the night with 10 points and five boards and did most of his damage in the first half.
**6 – Landen Lucas:** He doesn’t come to play nice. After game’s first whistle, ref got into his face and said, “Hey, knock it off right now!” Played just nine minutes and wasn’t a spectator when on the floor. Never is. He had six boards, three of the offensive variety. Also scored two points, two blocked shots, two personals and three turnovers. Not everything he does is a positive, but he never watches.
**7 – Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk:** Played all 20 minutes of the first half and just four in the second half. Had three points and had some defensive difficulties .
**8 – Kelly Oubre Jr.:** Checked into game and his man immediately whipped around him, forcing help and resulting in a dump-off for an easy bucket. Made up for it at the other end with an easy bucket. Had two points and two rebounds in eight minutes. Looks like a good rebounder.
**9 – Jamari Traylor:** Defensive lapses and two turnovers in 15 scoreless minutes made this a tough night for Traylor, who had just two rebounds.
**10 – Brannen Greene:** Scoreless without a rebound and had a turnover in eight minutes.
