**1. Tony Pierson:** When he turns the corner he makes 40,000-plus people stand up and clap. Rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns, one covering 47 yards, on 20 carries.
**2. Bradley McDougald:** Had two interceptions, a pass breakup and one of his six tackles was for a loss.
**3. Duane Zlatnik:** Left guard is an all-conference-caliber blocker. He’s one reason so many Kansas running plays came on the left side.
**4. Trevor Marrongelli:** Made all his special-teams short snaps and hustled down field to make key blocks consistently.
**5. Josh Williams:** It wasn’t difficult to spot the quickest defensive lineman on the team. He knocked the ball loose and recovered the fumble on the same play and generally got where he was going quicker than line mates.
**6. Taylor Cox:** Would rank higher but for a fumble in the red zone recovered by South Dakota State. Runs hard. Averaged 7.6 yards on his 16 carries and had a 39-yard gain and a 3-yard touchdown among his 121 yards.
**7. Tanner Hawkinson:** Got beaten for a sack, but otherwise played well. Has improved as a run-blocker throughout his career.
**8. Kale Pick:** Had 43-yard reception on game’s opening play and led team with 81 yards receiving on five catches.
**9. Josh Ford:** Blocked a punt and recovered it and showed good speed and determination throughout the night on special teams.
**10. Chris Omigie:** Blocked a punt and brought a lot of passion to special teams.
