Thomas Robinson top Jayhawk against Memphis

By Staff     Dec 7, 2010

**1. Thomas Robinson:** Added so much quickness and strength underneath when he was needed because Markieff Morris again encountered first-half foul trouble. Totaled 10 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot in 15 minutes.

**2. Tyshawn Taylor:** Didn’t have a lot of help against Memphis full-court pressure and kept Kansas from falling apart. Threw some ill-advised passes in the half-court, but contributed 13 points, four assists, four rebounds and strong defense.

**3. Marcus Morris:** Turned it over five times and made just 1 of 4 three-pointers, but routinely set up his brother for easy buckets and did a little bit of everything with 14 points, eight boards, five assists, two blocked shots and two steals.

**4. Markieff Morris:** Played just seven minutes in the first half because of foul trouble but still contributed 16 points, seven rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal in 24 minutes.

**5. Elijah Johnson:** In one of the steadier performances of his career, Johnson matched a career-high with 21 minutes and totaled seven points, three assists and a steal. He didn’t have any turnovers.

**6. Tyrel Reed:** Opened the game nailing a three-pointer and finished with eight points and three steals, but encountered some difficulty against full-court pressure.

**7. Brady Morningstar:** Loose handle led to four turnovers in 28 minutes, but did make his only two field-goal attempts, both three-pointers.

**8. Travis Releford:** Is extremely quick getting to the hoop, but needs to tighten up his handle.

**9. Mario Little:** Whistled for two personal fouls in eight minutes.

**10. Jeff Withey:** Went up to dunk, but the rim blocked his shot.
