Kansas softball dropped the series finale to No. 13 Oklahoma State, 7-4, at Cowgirl Stadium. OSU scored runs in five of the six innings and a late Kansas comeback attempt was thwarted by the pitching staff.
Brynn Minor earned the start for Kansas (14-24, 2-4 Big 12) and pitched the first 1.2 innings before being relieved by Lexy Mills. Mills pitched the next 2.1 innings and allowed the game-winning run in the fourth inning.
Oklahoma State (29-11, 7-2) opened the game by scoring one run in the first inning and two runs in the second, while Kansas earned all three of its runs in the third inning. After loading the bases, Becki Monaghan pushed the first run across after being hit by a pitch. Madison Sykes plated two more runs on a two-out double to left center field.
Kansas will host No. 2 Oklahoma for a three-game set next weekend.
