The Kansas softball team managed just one run during a doubleheader Friday at Oklahoma State.
KU (14-23, 2-3 Big 12) dropped an 8-1 decision in the first game to No. 13 OSU. The Jayhawks then suffered a 5-0 loss in the nightcap. Sydnee Ramsey clubbed a solo homer in the first inning of the first game, giving Kansas a brief 1-0 lead. It was the only time the Jayhawks led all day, as the Cowboys answered with a run in the bottom of the first.
Morgyn Wynne netted a pair of hits for Kansas in the first game. Brittany Jackson, Ramsey, Jennifer Marwitz and Shelby Hughston all recorded a hit in the second game. In the loss, Brynn Minor allowed five runs off nine hits over 5 1/3 innings.
The series finale is slated to start at 1 p.m. Saturday.
