In the team’s lone exhibition game prior to the start of the 2017 season, the Kansas soccer team was shutout, 1-0, against Iowa on Saturday at Rock Chalk Park.
The Jayhawks outshot Iowa, 8-1, in the second half but couldn’t find an equalizing goal after the Hawkeyes scored in the 27th minute.
KU, which was picked second in the Big 12 preseason poll, will open the season against Nebraska at 7 p.m. Friday.
