KU cornerback JaCorey Shepherd will play in the 2015 Senior Bowl, and linebacker Ben Heeney will compete in the East-West Shrine Game this postseason.
Shepherd, a first-team All-Big 12 pick, is the first Jayhawk invited to the Senior Bowl since Nate Dwyer in 2001. The game will kick off at 3 p.m., Jan. 24 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
Heeney will play for the West team in the Shrine Game, the nation’s longest-running college all-star game. The game’s 90th edition will kick off at 3 p.m., Jan. 17 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Both games — and many practices leading up to them — will be televised live on the NFL Network.
