KU golfer Philley ties for eighth

? Kansas University golfer Logan Philley fired a career-low 6-under 66 to tie for eighth place Saturday in the Desert Shootout at Palm Valley Country Club. Philley had a three-day total of 9-under 207.

Philley led the Jayhawks to a season-low team round of 10-under 278, and KU placed seventh in the 15-team field.

Ben Welle shot under par for the third consecutive day as he carded a 70 for a three day total of 212 to tie for 24th. Other KU results: Connor Peck (T34th, 214), Ryley Haas (T46th, 218), Chase Hanna (T54th, 220) and David Auer (87th, 238).
