Former KU forward Robinson scores 19 in NBA summer league opener

Former Kansas University forward Thomas Robinson had 19 points and seven boards for the Portland Trail Blazers in a loss to the New York Knicks, Saturday in Las Vegas summer league action.

Robinson was 7-of-10 from the field and 5-of-9 from the free-throw line. He also had five turnovers in 30 minutes.

Former KU center Cole Aldrich, who had a strained left calf, did not play for New York, one day after signing a new deal with the Knicks.

Former KU forward Tarik Black had two points, two rebounds and a steal in nine minutes for Houston, while former KU guard Elijah Johnson did not play for Philadelphia in the Sixers’ victory over Utah.
